Very overnice. I added salary to the browning chuck steak cubes and used shop bought puff pastry. I used beef stock instead of red wine and frozen veg. Earlier I added the pastry hat, I covered the meat mixture with a layer of tasty cheddar cheese slices. My married man loves steak, bacon and cheese pie. Considering I added the bacon it was a lot saltier and next fourth dimension I volition use salt-reduced stock.

We made 10 pies' worth of this recipe for a large group. It was very like shooting fish in a barrel, but I found it somewhat bland. I would also at to the lowest degree double the meat:vegetable ratio if I was going to arrive again.

Simply DELICIOUS, proficient comfort food! I used beef broth in place of the scarlet vino and frozen veggies instead of canned. I LOVED IT! This volition definitely be a favorite! Cheers!

Very good pot pie. I used the refrigerated pie crusts which were perfectly cooked. The canned mixed vegetables I used had potatoes which was a overnice addition to the pie. I might explore using frozen vegetables next time to see if their was a big difference. Will make once again.

Peachy recipe made information technology for hubby's birthday and it was a full striking with the in-laws too as the kids.

I used left over pot roast and information technology turned out wonderfully. My beau and I actually liked it meliorate than the pot roast!

I had to improvise with this recipe, I made my ain pie crust, and beefiness gravy as I had none pre-made on paw. I as well cut dorsum on the wine because I didn't brand enough gravy ( ooops!). Plus, I used frozen veggies. Other than all that I followed the recipe and it was my offset fourth dimension cooking with vino I was pleased overall. I will build upon this recipe, and make once more thanks Andrew!

This has a strange season, the vino is not a good improver. I followed directions exactly, maybe I should have used broth instead. Information technology's basically chicken pot pie but with stew beef and a bland gravy...

This is the 2nd pie that I have ever made and it wasn't until this recipe did I discover the importance of letting a pie "sit" and then that the flavors can fix in. At showtime sense of taste I idea that perchance the recipe chosen for also much wine but a few hours later afterward I had it in the fridge and heated information technology upwardly it tasted perfect! My sis the picky eater even enjoyed it. Thanks for the recipe!

This is a actually great recipe that you can change to your personal gustatory modality. I omitted the wine, and instead of canned veggies did a quick saute of fresh to include sliced onion, celery, carrot. I added a small can of mushrooms and some sliced baked potato. Thank y'all for the not bad recipe.

Really loved this. We were getting sick of the sometime chicken pot pie recipe, and this was just a easy, with a totally new flavor. The whole family loved information technology! Thank you Andrew

Good. Like shooting fish in a barrel! For some reason I ended upwards with besides much liquid and it overflowed the pir chaff. I'd honey to arraign the recipie simply it was probably operator error. Overall a quick and reasonable dish.

Only making it now, and it's cooking in the oven at present. I'm non ordinarily into habitation blistering but today i decided i wanted to make pie. Piece of cake instructions, and easy to do.

This was a REALLY overnice base of operations recipe. I added rounded 1/two tsp. of dried oregano and about ane/2 Tbls. of stale parsley and a pocket-sized onion (which I lightly sauteed first) and then added to the beef/wine mixture for reducing. It was a footling liquidy even though I let it stand for 10 mins. later on blistering. May add ii tsp. flour or corn starch only to thicken a little...but not by much.

Great recipe, my starting time time making anything with a chaff and it was delicious. I left out the wine and I think I would adopt using leftover pot roast as the steak that I used was a niggling tough.

3-14-20 I made this for Pi day. I used beef stew meat and per another reviewer's proffer, I doubled the meat. I had idea for sure I had some mixed vegetables but I didn't so I just used a can of green beans (the only veggie my family volition eat anyhow). It was pretty expert and I enjoyed the leftovers even more. Next time I'll cube some potatoes to put in.

Yummy and super like shooting fish in a barrel. My married man just RAVES nearly this. Great with a french bread for soaking upwards extra gravy!
